Larry O'Neill first began to pay careful attention to the game of tenpins when trying to seek revenge on those who were beating him in the game of duckpins. Since that time the name "Larry O'Neill" has become quite known in the bowling world, particularly in the Nation's Capital Area Bowling Association. - Thirteen (13) times ranked in NCABA Top Ten
- NCABA Second and Third highest composite averages ever (214.953 - 213.175)
- Four (4) times top average bowler on Virginia State Bowling Association All-Star Team
- Four (4) sanctioned 800 series (all in '81-'82 season) a high of 815
- Holds NCABA record of four (4) sanctioned 300 games
- Has International World's record of three (3) sanctioned 299 games in same league the same season
- Has rolled a 300 game on PBA tour
- Has career high finish of tenth on PBA National winter tour
- Has placed in top ten twenty (20) times in PBA Regional competition
- 1981 Doubles Champion in Bowl Magazine Tournament
- Member of Scratch Team Champions of 1979 and 1980 in Bowl Magazine Tournament
- Two (2) times champion MWBPA Invitational Tournament, with also second, third, and tenth place finishes
- Virginia State All-Star Doubles Champion
- NCABA Classics Singles Champion
- Fourteen (14) year PBA member
- Associate member of Bowling Writers Association of America
It is clear from these accomplishments alone, that Larry is a deserving and excellent addition to the Nation's capital Area Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
