MARK GLOVER

Mark Glover has been an NCABA member for 21 years and a member of the Professional Bowlers Association for the last nine. He has won five PBA regional titles and eight other times has finished in the Top 5 in tournament competition.

For four consecutive seasons (1985-86 through 1988-89), Mark was the NCABA's No. 1-ranked bowler, carrying composite averages of 220.54, 224.52, 226.87, and 225.32, respectively. In 1986-87, he is believed to be the first area bowler to average more than 230 in a season, registering 232 for 66 games and 231 for 87 games in leagues at Bowl America Woodbridge.

Mark was elected to three PBA Eastern Region Resident Pro Teams (1985, 1986, 1988). In 1986 he was elected to the PBA Eastern Region AllStar Team-the same year he made the Virginia State All-Star Team. He won the Virginia State U.S. Open qualifier in 1985.

Off the lanes, Mark possesses those outstanding attributes and personal characteristics that set the example for others to emulate. He always advocates participation in the sport, especially the NCABA Championship Tournament. He continually helps leagues recruit new members and willingly provides assistance to anyone seeking his guidance in developing their proficiency. He always presents an outstanding image to the association's members as well as to the general public.

For his exceptional bowling abilities and his generous contributions to the sport, the Nation's Capital Area Bowling Association Hall of Fame holds an honored position for Mark Glover in its Hall of Fame.
