Richard Dodge began tenpin bowling in 1974 at age 10. As a youth bowler, he was among the area's best: His highest average was 196, with a high game of 265 and a 726 high series. - Named to the Virginia State Bowling Association All-Star team with a 221 average.

- Four sanctioned 300 games in the same season, with a current sanctioned total of 10 300 games and five 299s.
- Two perfect games on the PBA National Tour.
- Placed in the match-play finals several times in PBA regional competition, with fourth place his best finish.
- PBA member last seven years.
A quiet, well-controlled, and outstanding bowler, Rich goes about the business of making the game appear easy. His ever-present smile and encouraging attitude add to the bowling game today.
He resides in Woodbridge with his wife, Tracee, and stepdaughter, Danielle.
