It’s check-in time for your leagues. I hope that everything has gone well and that you have had a successful season up to this point. Just a few reminders:
1. Be sure you have a copy of your approved prize list, and you should also receive a financial statement.
2. Make sure your secretary/treasurer has submitted your averages before their payment has been made. Also make sure all awards have been requested. Unfortunately, some secretaries do not have all your awards at the time of payout, but it is still their obligation to be sure that you have received all the awards you are entitled to before their funds have been released. If you have any doubts, please contact the association office. Remember, your awards can be presented to you by your lane representatives. If you would like to make these arrangements, please let us know before your league ends.
3. Next year, we want to recognize a league secretary in this association for a job well done. If your secretary meets this criteria, please consider nominating him/her for this award.
4. Keep in mind that we will have our Hall of Fame and Induction Ceremony in October, so please mark your calendars and join us at this event. Consider nominating a worthy individual. I am certain you have some friends who have made some outstanding achievements in this area as well as know of those individuals who have provided you with meritorious service not only to the adults but also to the youth.
5. Our Youth Championship Tournament has concluded. Check out the prize list and see how well they did. We have some fantastic and upcoming young bowlers out there. Remember, they are our future.
6. Please consider entering our Women’s Championship Tournament next year. We want to continue to make it a successful venture.
7. Our Open Championship Tournament, which has just finished, should be on your list of tournaments for next year if you did not have the opportunity to compete.
8. For those rolling seniors, mark your calendars for October 20-21 and 27-28. Applications for our 31st Annual Senior Tournament, to be held at Bowl America Falls Church, will be out later on this year.

For those bowling this summer, remember: The same rules for winter leagues also apply for the summer. Bowl well and have fun!
