We have scheduled our annual membership meeting for March 30 at the Holiday Inn Eisenhower Metro Center in Alexandria.
I encourage all bowlers from the association to attend and hope that all of our leagues send at least one representative to this important meeting. Attendance is open all anyone holding a local membership card. The main purpose of the annual meeting is to elect officers and directors for the following season, elect delegates to state meetings and the USBC Convention, and vote on any proposed rule and bylaw changes for our local association.
Our Youth Scratch Invitational Tournament was completed earlier this month. There was some outstanding bowling, and $7,200 in scholarship funds was awarded. Meanwhile, the Youth Championship Tournament is being held this month at Bowl America Chantilly.
Our Women’s Championship Tournament will take place in March at Bowl America Dranesville, and our Open Championship Tournament will be held in April at Bowl America Gaithersburg and Bowl America Shirley. Entry forms are now available online and at your bowling center.
