Prepare your league
for a successful ending

The 2003-2004 winter league season is nearing the end; I know my league only has about three weeks left to bowl.

There are a few important tasks remaining before we can start enjoying the summer:

• Election of league officers for the 2004-2005 season.
• Secretaries: Final average sheets must be submitted to the association office(s) as soon as the league is over or by June 20. Remember to include each bowler’s ID number.
• Please send your award applications to the association office(s) as soon as possible.

The annual Council of Delegates Meeting was held February 29 (see page 7), and I am pleased to report that there were quite a few first-time delegates who attended. Did your league representative make the meeting?

The major action at the ABC Convention in Reno, Nev., on March 19 was the vote on the United States Bowling Congress single membership proposal (see page 8). We won’t get the results of the merger vote (that also involves USA Bowling, the Young American Bowling Alliance, and the Women’s International Bowling Congress) until May 5 after the WIBC delegation votes in Wichita, Kan., so stay tuned.
