Season’s Greetings. I hope everyone had an enjoyable and blessed holiday season.
The new year starts a new round of NCAUSBCA-sponsored tournaments. We ask that you sign up at least one more bowler to participate with you in our events, with hopes the added participation will bring more excitement in addition to larger prize funds, more sponsor support, and increased ways for you to cash.
You can always find an entry form for our tournaments on ncausbca.org if you cannot find one at your center. If you have a Facebook account, be sure to “Like Us” so that you will be informed whenever a new form or tournament results are posted.
I would also like to remind everyone that the 2016 NCAUSBCA Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at National Golf Club at Tantallon in Fort Washington, Md. I strongly encourage all members of this association to come out to vote in the election of your board of directors, on proposed rules and/or bylaw changes as well the election of delegates to the Virginia State meetings and to the USBC Convention. This also will give you an opportunity to meet and greet other bowlers whom you may not have seen lately, while also getting a chance to speak directly to and ask questions of members of the NCAUSBCA board of directors.
As an additional reminder, all leagues by now should have established an audit committee to review and reconcile the league’s financial position. If your league has not completed the necessary and important task of completing an audit, I strongly suggest that your league do so to ensure funds are being properly managed, prize money payouts are correct, and to abide by USBC rules.
