GREENDALE, Wis. — There will be many happy faces this holiday season as the inaugural eBay auction to benefit the Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship Fund raised $28,179.57, led by a $17,511.07 bid for the Kegel Kustodian Plus by Tony Lum of New Zealand.
Several bowling industry members contributed unique gifts that enabled the auction to be a resounding success.
The winners included:
"Kegel's and John Davis' generosity obviously gave our endowment scholarship program a huge boost," said YABA Executive Director Jim Zebehazy, "but it was industry-wide cooperation by the rest of the bowling family that really made the auction a success. We think next year's auction will be even more successful, now that everyone has had a chance to get their creative feet wet."
Auction winners have been notified and prizes will be delivered in time for the holiday season.

The Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship Fund was created as a memorial to the legendary ABC/PBA Hall of Famer who died in 2001. The Anthony Scholarship Fund is designed to help young bowlers pursue advanced education on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement and community service rather than focusing on bowling ability.
The Anthony Scholarship Fund is administered by the United States Bowling Congress SMART program under 501(c)3 non-profit rules. Contributions to the Anthony Scholarship Fund are tax-deductible.
