August 20, 1992: Top seed Bob Vespi begins the championship match with eight strikes and captures his second PBA title with a 279-205 blasting of Jim Pencak at the ABC West Lanes Open in Mechanicsburg, Pa.


August 20, 1992: In only his seventh PBA senior event, leader Barry Gurney wins the Lansing (Mich.) Senior Open by crushing Tommy Evans, 243-166, in the deciding contest.


August 20, 1986: Tournament leader Glenn Allison wins his first PBA title in 22 years at the Kessler Seniors Championship in Canton, Ohio with a 201-200 victory over Bus Oswalt.
