August 3, 1991: Leading qualifier Steve Jaros wins his first PBA title by conquering Andy Neuer, 202-189, in the title contest of the Choice Hotels International Summer Classic in Edmond, Okla.


August 3, 1988: In his sixth championship round appearance of the year, Dave Husted takes home his sixth PBA title with a 233-191 victory over tournament leader Joe Berardi in the La Mode Classic in Green Bay, Wis.
