July 5, 1994: Dave D'Entremont wins his second PBA title and his first since 1992 by defeating top seed Joe Firpo in the title match of the Oregon Open, 235-214.


July 5, 1990:Earl Anthony wins his third PBA Senior title by crushing Bill Gaume, 258-189, in the championship match of the Hammer PBA Senior Open in Houston. It was Anthony's first PBA victory in Texas.


July 5, 1989: Tom Crites captures his fifth PBA victory when he tops top seed David Ozio, 202-191, in the title match of the Kessler Classic in Riverside, Calif.


July 5, 1970: Larry Laub earns his first PBA title by a record 298 pins over runner-up Mike Durbin in the Tucson Centurion Open. Laub, who took home $3,000, averaged 228.25 for 40 games.
