Bolden wins Super Bracket Shoot-Out

June 2, 2002 — Nate Bolden today won the $750 scholarship top prize at the first Super Bracket Shoot-Out at Bowl America Burke.
This was a special event with a different format. After eight games of qualifying, there was a cut to the top 32 bowlers who bowled three more games with pins carrying over, and then a cut to the top 16 where bowlers were seeded 1-16 for a single-game elimination bracket.
