Stacey Gonzales (648 series) of Alexandria and NCABA Hall of Famer Mark Glover (626) of Woodbridge totaled 1,274 to win by a single pin the $700 top prize in the NCABA/WDCAWBA 600-700 Scratch Mixed Doubles Tournament held August 20 at AMF Alexandria. The win was Glover’s sixth 600-700 title, and, he humorously noted, the third time his partner scored higher in victory.
Lianella Teran (626) of Alexandria and NCABA Hall of Famer Lee Brosius (647) of Centreville took home $350 for second place.
In the optional women’s singles category, Gonzales earned an additional $40 for her 648 series, while Christine Martin of Huntingtown, Md., received $20 for her 622.
Meanwhile, in the men’s division, Chhoeun To of Falls Church pocketed $60 for his 697, while Darnell Bell of Temple Hills earned $30 for his 684.
