Bowl America Manassas will host the PBA Senior Tour May 16-19 for the PBA Senior Manassas Open.
The event kicks off with the Over/Under – Over/Over Tournament at Manassas on Saturday, May 15, with squads at 12:30, 3:30, 6:30, and 9:30 p.m.
On Sunday morning, there are two practice sessions, at 8 to 9 (A Squad) and 10:30 to 11:30 (B Squad). Later in the day, adult/senior pro-am squads will occur at 12:30, 3, 5:30, 8, and 10:30 p.m. Meanwhile, a youth pro-am will take place at Bowl America Bull Run with squads at 11 a.m., 1:30, 4, 6:30, and 9 p.m.
Pro qualifying begins Monday, May 17, with the A Squad rolling eight games beginning at 10 a.m. and the B Squad starting at 5 p.m. The squads reverse their starting times the following day, after which the field will be cut to 32 players.
On Wednesday, May 19, the Round of 32 begins best-of-five match play series starting at 9 a.m. The Round of 16 begins at 1 p.m., immediately after which the Round of 8 gets underway. At 7 p.m., the Round of 4 begins with best-of-three matches, after which the champion will be decided in another best-of-three contest among the survivors.
PBA Senior Rookie of the Year Don Sylvia of Discovery Bay, Calif., is expected to defend his title.
